Lin Yu De is a rare kind of recent Taiwanese electronic musicians, who puts much emphasis on recording. While he might be lacking in live performances, he makes it up with much dedication and effort in detailed listening and advertisement / theatrical music, he also works on the field of hardware and software synthesizers. With a master’s degree in Sound and Music Innovative Technologies from NCTU, Lin formed the noise quartet “Traffic Jam” with Xie Zhongqi et al. By the invitation of Kandala Records, Yu De performed live at The Wall in October 2013, with an assortment of Electronic Music: EDM, Noise, and Pop, with his smooth technique and mastery in mixing, he had the crowd by heart.

This particular album is a two-year accumulation of Yu De’s thoughts and memories, encompassing file recordings and acoustic electronics. The scenes of recording range from a park on the riverside, to the interior of car running on highway. Drifting on the border of reality and synthetic sound, the album is calm, gentle, yet roaring with waves from time to time. This is about the everyday sequence of Lin Yu De, and the salvation he found in music. The album is a must-have for sound appreciators like you.
